The Jollibee Group has recently activated 6,300 solar panels at its Canlubang Baking Facility, marking the largest installation undertaken by the company thus far.
In collaboration with First Gen Corporation, through Pi Energy, the Philippines-based company has joined forces to solar-power one-third of its manufacturing facility.
Following the successful installation of 3,000 panels at Zen3 in Canlubang last November, the Canlubang Baking Facility becomes the second site targeted by the Jollibee Group for solar installation. These strategic locations, including commissaries and logistics centers, play a crucial role in supporting the diverse portfolio of brands under the Jollibee Group in the Philippines, which encompasses well-known names such as Greenwich, Burger King, and Red Ribbon.
“We have come to understand that our influence on the environment is centered on three key aspects: energy, water, and waste,” states Jose Miñana Jr. of the Jollibee Group. “Armed with this fresh insight, we have taken on the challenge of ‘Joy for Tomorrow,’ committing to develop strategies, systems, and initiatives that enable us to engage with our planet in a more responsible manner.”
