Grappone Mazda zooms on solar energy from ReVision

Grappone Mazda, located in New Hampshire, collaborated with ReVision Energy to set up 295 solar panels at its newly established dealership in Concord. This rooftop solar array produces 162,989 kWh of clean energy, offsetting over 60% of Grappone Mazda’s electricity consumption.

Grappone Mazda, a member of the Grappone Automotive Group, a long-standing family-owned New Hampshire dealership showcasing Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota vehicles, along with one of the largest wholesale parts operations in northern New England. Celebrating its centennial this year, Grappone Automotive Group’s owner, Amanda Grappone Osmer, emphasized that the transition to solar module signifies an investment in the company’s financial prospects, as well as in the health and well-being of both the family and future generations.

“My great-grandparents, Italian immigrants, launched a gas station in 1924, which eventually evolved into Grappone Automotive. Throughout the past century, our family has prioritized innovation and prudent choices that safeguard both the company’s well-being and our family’s legacy,” Osmer remarked. “I take pride in steering Grappone towards a new era of sustainability through the adoption of solar energy.”

The recently activated solar array represents only one of Grappone’s latest sustainability endeavors. In 2012, Grappone completed the construction of its Toyota showroom, marking the first LEED certified Toyota building in New England. Throughout the construction phase, the dealership repurposed and recycled 60% of its initial structure, effectively diverting over 250 tons of construction waste away from landfills.
